1 lb ground beef
1/2 medium onion
3 cloves garlic
1 green pepper, diced
2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 6oz can tomato past
1 cup water
1 Tbsp brown sugar or honey
2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp oregano
1/ tsp salt
pepper to taste |
Cook onion, garlic, green pepper and beef in a large pan on medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink. Add red wine vinegar and stir for about 1 minute. Add the rest of the ingredients. Reduce heat to low and simmer, loosely covered, for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. This is great on buns, biscuits or over rice. |
