Beef Stew in the Fall

Beef stew is one of the great meals that taste so good when the weather starts to turn. The leaves are changing colors, frost on the cars in the morning, and the smell of a stew cooking through out the day.

And of course I love a meal that takes only about 15 mintues to prepare and is ready to eat when dinner comes around. So for me cooking this dish in the crockpot is always the best choice for me.

Beef Stew

2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1 tsp paprika
4 carrots, sliced
3 potatoes, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, sliced

Put meat in Crock-Pot. Mix flour, salt and pepper, and pour over meat; stir to coat meat with flour. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well. Cover; cook on Low 10 to 12 hours (High; 4-6 hours). Stir stew thoroughly before serving.
