A marinade flank steak recipe great for camping

Finally we made it out for our first trip camping this summer. Once you are sitting by a campfire as the sun is setting you wonder why has it been so long since the last time you went camping. Obviously one needs to pack light when going camping, but if you have a grill cover for the fire this recipe works great.

Grilled onions are great on this sandwich as well, but sometimes you donít have a cast iron pan to put on the grill. If you happen to I would suggest cutting up some onions in advance and throwing them in a zip lock bag as well.

Flank Steak Marinade (Flank Steak Sandwiches)

Flank Steak
2 c. olive oil
4 c. beef base
1 c. red wine vinegar
1 c. balsamic vinegar
1/4 c. Parmesan
1/2 c. Worcestershire
2 Tb onion powder
2 Tb garlic powder
1 Tb oregano
1 Tb thyme
1/2 Tb pepper
1 Tb salt

Hoagie Style Rolls
Provolone Cheese

Mix marinade.
Cut flank steak, thin slices at an angle. Marinate approximately 24 hours in a zip lock bag.
