1 medium onion, diced
3 garlic cloves
1 medium green pepper
1 pound ground beef
2 Tb. red wine vinegar
6 oz. tomato paste
1 cup water
1 Tb. sugar or honey
2 Tb. Dijon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tb. chili powder
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp cumin
2 bay leaves

Cook onion, garlic, green pepper and ground beef until the meat is no longer pink. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer loosely covered for 30 minutes.
Use on hamburger buns or rice. |
