  No-Nut Granola Bars

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup canola oil
2 1/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a mixer, cream sugar and oil. Add the rest of the ingredients. MIX WELL! Pour mixture into a well-greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake unitl golden brown on top, about 35 minutes. Cool slightly before cutting and removing from pan.
