  Korean Short Ribs

1/4 cup sesame seeds
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. chili oil
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 cup chopped scallions
4 pounds beef short ribs, sliced thin
Toast sesame seeds in a skillet or heavy pan over medium heat for 5 minutes, make sure they don't burn. Mix toasted seeds in bowl with remaining ingredients. Place ribs in mixture, cover, and marinate for 2 to 3 hours. Grill over direct high heat, turning frequently, for 7 to 8 minutes.
