1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 Tb chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 tsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. red pepper sauce
1 can jalape´┐Żo diced tomatoes
1 can stewed tomatoes with celery, onions and green peppers
1 can tomato sauce
About half a can water (depending on how thick you like it)
2 cans (15 1/2 ounces) red kidney beans
Cook ground beef, onion and garlic in 3-quart saucepan, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except beans; break up tomatoes. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Stir in beans. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until desired thickness.
